Dr. Kaydar M. Al-Chalabi is a highly accomplished consultant physician specializing in Physical Medicine, Rheumatology, and Rehabilitation, with over four decades of extensive clinical, academic, and leadership experience across Iraq, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Mosul, Iraq in 1980 and went on to complete his Master’s degree in Physical Medicine, Rheumatology, and Rehabilitation with distinction from Ain Shams University, Cairo in 1989.

He is a pioneer in the diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation of rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, and neurological conditions like stroke, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injuries. His clinical expertise extends to musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, male infertility rehabilitation, and prosthetic training post-amputation.

Dr. Al-Chalabi has also played a significant role in medical education. From 1994 to 2005, he lectured at the University of Baghdad’s College of Medicine, providing both undergraduate and postgraduate instruction and supervising diploma and master’s theses in rheumatology and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Dr. Al-Chalabi is also a recognized speaker at regional and international medical conferences, having presented at events such as the Cleveland Clinic’s Middle East PM&R Conference and the IOF World Congress.

His contributions have earned him several honors, including:

  • The Distinguished Medical Sciences Award for spinal cord injury rehabilitation (2011)

  • The Rehabilitation Merit Medal from the Union of Veterans and Arab War Victims (1994)

In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Al-Chalabi is an inventor, holding a patent for Electric Assisted Ejaculation (EAE), granted by the Central System for Specification and Quality Control in Baghdad.
