Dr. Zain has obtained his Internal medicine and Endocrine fellowship training in New York. Before arriving in the UAE in 2007, he was an associate professor of medicine at the University of South Texas and had a busy endocrine private practice in Texas.

His special interest lies in diabetes and thyroid disorders. He has extensive experience in insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGMS) and management of all types of diabetes and its complications.

He serves as an active member and fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. (FACE) and has certifications in neck ultrasonography (ECNU) and insulin pump training.
